What is a wedding stylist?
A wedding stylist is a person who works with you to define what your wedding is going to look like, connects you with the suppliers who will bring it to life and turns up the night before or the morning of your wedding to set it up and take it down at the end. Stylists have a deep knowledge of what works in a space, how to create a vibe with props and visuals, how to balance light and create a mood and they also possess all the practical know-how to set it up safely.
Hanging streamers from the ceiling? We’ve done it. Up a ladder creating that iconic disco ball arch? No problem. As a wedding stylist, I’m experienced in making that magic happen behind the scenes, so you don’t have to.
Why do I need a wedding stylist?
If you want to turn up on your wedding day having spent the morning in hair and make up, drinking a bit of fizz and chilling with your wedding crew, but you still want your guests to walk in and think ‘wow’, then you might want a wedding stylist. You will work closely with me before the day and know exactly what it’ll look like, but have none of the fuss, bother and stress of working out how to do it yourself.
As your stylist, I love to learn about you, and bring personal and sentimental touches to your day that aren’t cookie-cutter and repeatable. The work we do ahead of time will pull everything together to make it practical, stunning and completely reflect the two of you.
What is a wedding coordinator?
A wedding coordinator manages the timeline of your wedding day and is the point of contact for all the suppliers on the day. They will keep things running smoothly, tell staff where to be and when and run between places to make sure your day is stress-free.
Up front, they’re the clipboard-and-headset organisers who keep the boat afloat in terms of service, timings and practical issues. Behind the scenes, they’re sewing up broken zips, straightening veils and directing traffic - anything they need to do to steer the ship and let you completely relax and enjoy the moment.
Why do I need a wedding coordinator?
Your venue might have one as part of your package, and they’ll know the space well but they won’t know you. Booking a wedding coordinator like me for your day means a personalised service - someone who can keep things flowing, direct people where they need to be and firefight whatever might arise on the day with the added benefit of knowing you both, planning ahead and having contingencies that are discussed with you ahead of time.
